Broken

"Matthew 21:44 "....whosoever shall fall on this stone shall he broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder" In this verse God gives us a dramatic, contrast between the saved and the lost. You either fall on Him and be broken or He falls on you and you will be smashed. Not a pleasant picture, but it is the only way out of a horrendous situation. To fall on Him is to realize that you nailed Jesus to the cross, that you are a sinner in the hands of an angry God, that you are hanging over the flames of hell by a thread. When you see this you will be broken into pieces. David was broken and described his experience in Psalm 51. Verse 8 says, "You have crushed me and broken me..." (Modern English) This is the only way out of our sinful condition. Psalm 34:18 "The. Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and rescues those whose spirit is crushed." Think on these things!
